"Time spent in hospital is hard, but it must be even harder for sick kids. That's why I'm throwing my support behind the dedicated cyclists and crew in the '1200kms for Kids'. These crazy people are pedalling from The Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick to the Royal Children's Hospital Brisbane in just 5 days! This incredible effort is to raise vital funds for ground breaking research and medical equipment, to substantially raise the level of care, and improve the lives of patients and their families every day. Helping sick kids is an awesome cause so follow the riders and donate."

"Professional Rugby League is a tough sport, with the training sometimes being tougher then the actual games. I hate nothing more then having to get on my bike and ride for kilometre after kilometre. But, the sense of enjoyment and achievement you feel after a game makes all the training and hard work worthwhile. I urge you all to get behind the "1200kmsforkids" riders and support a great cause, which is helping raise money and awareness for both the Sydney Children's Hospital and Royal Children's Hospital Brisbane. No one likes to see children faced with serious illness, which at times can be as tough for the family as the child. Help these families get through the tough times they face by supporting the "1200kmforkids" event and help play a part in these children's lives by making a financial contribution that will go towards research, medical equipment and ultimately the care of the kids."

" I am delighted to be involved with "1200kms for Kids" in support of the Royal Children's Hospital, Brisbane and Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick. I wish the riders all the best with their challenging 5 day 1200km journey from Brisbane to Sydney to work wonders for sick kids. Every year, the Royal Children's Hospital, Brisbane and Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick collectively touches the lives of over 45,000 children. With support from the community for "1200kms for Kids", these hospitals will be able to continue investing in ground breaking research and medical equipment to substantially raise the level of care, and improve the lives of patients and their families every day."

"I've spent a lot of time at the Sydney Children's Hospital, so it's fantastic to see so many people getting on their bikes to support the hospital and those it cares for. As someone with young children, I particularly appreciate the amazing work they do. I'd encourage people to support those riding by donating whatever they can for this fantastic cause."

become a local ambassador

We are looking forward to individuals/companies coming on board and promoting the 1200kmsforkids charity bike ride throughout the year and also when we are riding through your town / city helping us raise as much money as possible for the children's hospitals in Brisbane and New South Wales. The 1200kmsforkids charity bike ride is organised by myself (Trevelyan Bale) and all money raised goes to the hospitals - there are no office fees taking 20% to 30% so 100% of all money raised goes to the children.

Companies, schools and any type of organisation is welcome to be involved with the 1200kmsforkids charity bike ride. With more awareness, we can raise more money for these needy kids in both hospitals.

This is a great cause so please get involved by becoming a local ambassador in any one of the towns and/or cities that we pass through. To express your interest, please call Trevelyan Bale on 0416139137 or email trevelyan@1200kmsforkids.com
